🚨 8U Softball Team Needed! 🚨

The Southern ADK Softball League is currently looking for one 8U team to join our summer league schedule. We recently had a team withdraw due to a lack of players, creating an opening for the upcoming season.

Games will be played on Wednesday evenings from June 10th through July 29th, allowing teams to continue practicing during the week while still getting valuable game experience before weekend tournament play.

This is a great opportunity for an 8U team looking for additional competition, player development, and a fun summer softball experience.

🥎 Southern ADK Softball League – Summer 2026 🥎

We are gearing up for an exciting 2026 Summer League, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to share how much we’ve grown!

What started as a single 10U division with just 6 teams has expanded into three divisions (8U, 10U, and 12U)—now proudly made up of 22 teams! 🙌

This incredible growth is a testament to the passion, dedication, and support of our players, families, and communities.

📍 Opening Day Celebration
Join us at the Moreau Recreation Quads on June 10th as we kick off the season!

We can’t wait to see everyone out on the fields for a summer full of softball, teamwork, and fun.

🥎 Calling All 518 Softball Teams! 🥎

The Southern ADK Softball League, based in the beautiful Adirondack region, is gearing up for an exciting summer season and currently has openings for teams in the 8U, 10U, and 12U divisions!

🚨We are actively looking to add more 12U teams to build a strong and competitive bracket this summer.

🚨 Limited spots remain in the 8U and 10U brackets, so teams interested should reach out soon!

This league welcomes teams from all areas, and is a great opportunity for programs looking to add mid-week games to their summer schedule. If you're looking for a consistent summer schedule with competitive games, this league is a perfect fit for your team’s season.

Today, we proudly stand with the global softball community to celebrate the sport that empowers us with teamwork, confidence, discipline, and heart.

World Softball Day is recognized every June 13th, marking the historic 1991 decision by the International Olympic Committee to include women’s fastpitch softball in the Olympic Games—debuting in Atlanta in 1996. In 2005, the WBSC officially designated this day to honor the sport’s worldwide impact.

🥎 At Southern ADK Softball League, we’re committed to helping young athletes grow both on and off the field. Through softball, these girls are gaining more than skills—they’re building grit, grace, and the belief that they can achieve anything.

Miss Scotties Firestorm 10U Falls to Saratoga Thunder Red 10U Despite Out-Hitting Opponent

Miss Scotties Firestorm 10U outhit Saratoga Thunder Red 10U seven to five but came up short in an 18-5 loss on Thursday at Luther Forest Athletic Fields. Lily B led the offense with two hits.Saratoga Thunder Red 10U struck early in the top of the first, scoring four runs off a walk by Lucy S, a two-run triple by Abby B, and a steal of home.

Miss Scotties Firestorm 10U responded in the bottom of the inning, tying the game at 4-4. Aurora T stole home, Lily B and Mairead R each singled, and Adelaide V added an RBI double.However, the game shifted in the second inning when Saratoga Thunder Red 10U capitalized on walks and aggressive base running to plate five runs without recording a hit, taking a 9-4 lead. A key moment came when Anniston Z drew a walk with the bases loaded, driving in two.

Saratoga Thunder Red 10U extended their lead in the third with two more runs on a walk and another steal of home, and added five more runs in the sixth, again without recording a hit, using disciplined plate appearances and smart base running to pull away.

Colbie O pitched three innings in relief for Firestorm, allowing four hits and four runs while striking out six and walking two. Aurora T started in the circle, allowing one hit and nine runs over two-thirds of an inning with one strikeout and eight walks.

Offensively, Mairead R, Adelaide V, and Lily B each drove in a run. The Firestorm were aggressive on the basepaths, stealing 12 bases, with Leighton L, Adelaide V, Aurora T, and Colbie O all swiping multiple.

Addie A went 2-for-3 to lead Saratoga Thunder Red 10U at the plate. Abby B, Lucy S, and Madison K each drove in a run, and Mackenzie C showed strong discipline, drawing three walks.

Despite the final score, Firestorm showed flashes of strong hitting and aggressive baserunning that will serve them well in future matchups.

🥎Lady Bulldogs Unleashed 10U Falls to Queensbury Spartans 10U Blue in Season Opener🥎

The Southern Adirondack Softball League kicked off with an exciting matchup Wednesday night at Moreau Recreation in South Glens Falls, where the Lady Bulldogs Unleashed hosted Queensbury Spartans 10U Blue in their inaugural game of the season.

In a competitive back-and-forth battle, the Lady Bulldogs came up just short, falling 7–5 to a strong Queensbury squad.

Queensbury jumped out to an early lead in the first inning, scoring three runs—one on a passed ball, another on a bases-loaded walk to Amaya, and the third as Miila swiped home. The Spartans continued to apply pressure in the second, with Quincey ripping an RBI single to right field. Miila later grounded out in the third to drive in another run, stretching their lead.

Anna DeMello started in the circle for the Bulldogs, allowing no hits but issuing five walks and giving up three runs over one inning while stricking out three. On the other side, Carli led Queensbury in the circle with a dominant four-inning performance, giving up just three hits and five runs while striking out nine and walking three.

Offensively, the Bulldogs were led by Addie Harris with an RBI and Anna DeMello, who had a perfect day at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a triple to right-center (see video). Alivia Quigan and Sadie Waite sparked the offense with aggressive base running, combining for several of the team’s nine stolen bases. The Bulldogs played a clean game defensively, committing zero errors. Izzy Goodspeed stoodout behind the plate, recording seven outs and teaming up with DeMello for a crucial double play. Lena Coffinger also came up big, ending an inning with a clutch grab on a towering pop fly.

For Queensbury, Quincey led the offense with a 2-for-2 performance, while Carli, Quincey, and Angelina each logged multiple stolen bases. The Spartans racked up 18 steals and showed discipline at the plate with nine walks.

Lady Bulldogs Unleashed 10U will look to bounce back next Wednesday when they host Miss Scottie’s Firestorm 10U. Queensbury 10U Blue will aim to stay hot as they take on the Titans White at home.
