Can't believe we have been open for 2 years in a few days. It was scary making the leap right after covid to opening a business. Especially when we had so many people who said it would never work, I would get burnt out teaching this many classes or people actually trying to sabotage my business. After all of that we have one of the biggest school in CNY after just two short years. We have incredible students, a massive schedule and great working relationship with some of the other amazing gyms in the area like UA and Vien Jiu Jitsu just to name a few. We have been able to break barriers to bring jiu jitsu to our local police departments in a first of it's kind study in New York. Haven has an amazing not-for-profit where we help community relations by bridging the gap with our youth and Law Enforcement with the Haven Initiative. Our members have also started some amazing clubs like the Haven Running Club and Haven Golf Club that have helped raise awareness for other causes such as su***de prevention. In fact we have helped raise money for so many different causes and worked with so many local businesses that I can't even fit it all of them on here haha which is an amazing problem to have (like Thin Line Martial Arts which we have been with since their beginning and Ronin Foundation for our military members). I will continue to constantly push to help as many people as I can with jiu jitsu and to help as many groups in our community as possible. I appreciate all the love and support from everyone. None of this would be possible without our amazing members and the fantastic support from friends and family. I love the fact that our members have created this positivie environment where we can train and help so many people. I can't wait to see how we continue to grow and help the community in the future.
