In June 2026, California was once again the stage for the 30th edition of the most prestigious event in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ,the IBJJF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship, the annual tournament that brings together the best gi competitors on the planet.
Back in 1996, I was there and proudly brought home a World Champion gold medal in my division.
Thirty years later, it is incredible to celebrate the growth of the sport I chose for life. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has given me unforgettable experiences, lifelong friendships, and lessons that continue to shape who I am today.
Grateful to have witnessed and been part of this amazing journey from the beginning. Here’s to 30 years of history, passion, and dedication on the mats.
