The Tae Ryong Taekwondo School of Bakersfield opened in November of 2008. Master Hyo Sung Bang started his Martial Arts studies at the age of six, and since that time has dedicated his life to learning and teaching the Taekwondo way. Since Master Bang began his career as an instructor in 1998, he has been devoted to sharing his passion for Taekwondo with his students and helping them to achieve their dreams. Now, with over 30 years of experience, Master Bang is committed to bringing the highest quality of Martial Arts training to you and your family. Classes are offered for all ages from as young as 3!!!

This drill challenges students to remember combinations, maintain technique while moving quickly, control their breathing, and finish with confidence and power.

And that Kihap? That’s not just for volume—it’s about focus, intensity, and bringing everything together before that final flying side kick! 💪🥋

Master Bang is making sure our Tiger Tots are prepared by reviewing everything they’ve been working toward—including the 3 types of focus: mind, eyes, and body, punching and blocking techniques, proper kicking technique, and even somersault practice! 👊🦵🤸

It’s not just about knowing the moves—it’s about building focus, confidence, coordination, discipline, and perseverance. ❤️

Our Green & Yellow Belts took on a team challenge where groups of three had to work together, hold a target pad between them, and race around the studio… without dropping it! 😆

Sounds easy, right? Not when you’re trying to move as a team! 😂

This exercise helps students practice communication, coordination, balance, focus, and teamwork—all while having fun and challenging each other.

Because in Taekwondo, getting stronger isn’t just about kicking harder. It’s about learning how to work together. 💪🥋
