I spent 10 years living the youth sports life…

If you’ve ever spent 12+ hours at a cheer competition, forgotten bobby pins 5 minutes before warmups, searched for wrinkle spray in a panic, or realized everyone’s phone is dead halfway through awards… this one is for you!!!

Over the years we’ve learned there are a few things that make competition weekends so much easier. I put together a list of the products we actually keep packed for long comp days — the little things that help with staying organized, comfortable, and a little less stressed.

One thing I swear by? TWO portable chargers. Not one. Two!!! Because somehow one always dies halfway through the day, and then you still need a phone for photos, videos, schedules, music, maps, and surviving until awards. Having a backup has saved us more than once.

I’m sharing this because cheer moms are always helping other cheer moms ❤️

One thing about sports families and camping families… we NEED meals that work with our chaos 😂🏈🏕️

These two recipes have become staples around here because they work for BOTH lifestyles:

🌯 Breakfast Burritos
Perfect for camping mornings when everybody wakes up hungry at different times.

They’re also a lifesaver during football season, make a big batch ahead of time, freeze them, and grab them on those early practices / game mornings when you’re rushing out the door.

🥣 Chili
One of my favorite “first night camping” meals because it’s EASY. Make it ahead and freeze it for camping trips!

Or you can throw it in the crock pot before game day and dinner is DONE when you get home. Especially perfect after those long colder football days when nobody wants to cook late at night.

And if you’re wondering… YES I use my Ninja crock pot for both because I can sear the meat right in the same pot before adding everything else 🙌 Less dishes, easier cleanup, and perfect for busy mom life. I’ll link it below because I use this thing constantly 😂🏕️
