-JOB OPPORTUNITY-
Eastern Oregon Outfitters is looking to add another guide to our team this fall.
We're looking to hire a guide for a couple of hunts this season, including an archery elk hunt, so proficiency in elk calling as a tactics is a must.
These hunts could lead to additional opportunities if things go well and you're a good fit for our team.
Since starting Eastern Oregon Outfitters, I've had a lot of people express interest in guiding. I've been hesitant to bring on more help because I wanted to make sure we built the right team, but we've reached the point where Logan and I simply can't do it all. We also have another guide who helps us each year, but he has his own small business to run and deserves time to hunt for himself too. Bringing on another quality guide just makes sense.
I know a lot of people dream about guiding. If that's you, reach out. We'd be happy to let you tag along on a few hunts to see if guiding is something you'd enjoy and be good at.
That said, this position is primarily intended for someone with previous guiding experience. We would also consider someone with a proven track record of consistent hunting success who has the attitude and character we're looking for in a guide.
What we're looking for: • Current First Aid/CPR certification (or the ability to obtain it before guiding clients) • Quality optics and dependable personal gear • Good physical condition • Strong hunting knowledge and a willingness to teach and mentor clients • Patience and a genuine desire to help others succeed • A strong work ethic—early mornings, long days, and tough country are part of the job
