Psychiatrist Scott Peck once stated, "The paradox of life is that we are all trapped inside of a box, and the instructions on how to get out of the box are written on the outside of the box." Navigating through life can be intricate, and finding a path forward is often challenging and bewildering.

In a sense, we are all in search of the "owner's manual," grappling with complexity and yearning to bring clarity and directness to our lives. Fortunately, Angeles Arrien, a cross-cultural anthropologist, dedicated a lifetime to studying this subject and formulated four principles that resonate across various cultures worldwide.

Show up: be fully present every day

Speak your truth: speaking the truth is about not holding back on saying what is important and loving. As a practice, try every day asking yourself the question, “What would be the more vulnerable and honest thing to say right now?” Then say it.

Pay attention to what has heart and meaning: stay attentive to that which is most meaningful in your lives.

Let go of all results: do your best in the effort, and then we let go of whatever the outcome may be.

This week (9 days actually) was one of those weeks that reminds me why I do what I do.

A magazine feature.
A women’s connection circle.
Youth gathering.
One-on-one sessions.
Workshops
Networking
Planning with a local DAC.
Connection with horses.
Moments of courage.
Moments of connection.

From the outside, it may look like a week full of activity.

What I see are people.

Women choosing themselves.
Youth discovering their strengths.
Individuals finding clarity.
Community members creating something together.
Stories being shared.
Laughter being heard.
Connections being made.

This week reminded me that we are all part of a much larger quilt.

Each of us brings our own experiences, gifts, challenges, and dreams. Alone, we are meaningful. Together, we create something beautiful.

The magazine cover may capture a moment, but the real highlight is witnessing people show up as themselves and knowing they don’t have to do it alone.

My heart is grateful for every person, horse, conversation, and connection that made this week what it was.

Here’s to creating spaces where people can belong, grow, and remember who they are.

There is still time to join us for this season's Women's Group at WildheartLeads.

Beginning tomorrow Morning June 12th! We will gather once a month from 8:30–10:30 a.m. alongside the wisdom of horses, and within the warmth of our FarmCharm setting.

This is not another thing to add to your to-do list.

It's an invitation to pause.

To breathe.

To reconnect with yourself through the practice of BEING rather than constantly DOING.

Each month will include meaningful connection, reflection, laughter, creativity, and a personal takeaway or creation to bring home with you. Together, we'll explore what it means to live with greater authenticity, trust your inner compass, and create space for what truly matters.
