The final pads have been poured at Hardaway Point. We’ll be installing the remaining posts and benches this week. We hope to have course open in the next couple weeks.

Another successful event in the books. Congratulations to the winner and ALL the competitors. This was Albemarle's first multi-course event and the largest disc golf event to date. Big shout out to Pat Bowles for being an awesome co-TD. Also want to thank Brent Thompson, Dave Mansel and Sabino Cabrera for your help with the signs, art and cleaning the courses. We're going to open up Hardaway Point Disc Golf Course at Badin Inn this Saturday. The course has half the concrete pads installed and the remaining tees are formed, waiting to be paved. The course is still under construction so please be careful and try stay off the forms.

We will be selling food and beverages all day. Event discs and pint glasses, as well as other items, will be available. There are still spots available for the Ironman event.

I'm getting the Ironman started in Oakboro at 7am and I'll be back to Hardaway at 11.

Come out and support local disc golf.

Get registered and be a part of our first Stanly County Ironman. The custom Firebirds, Mako3 and Leopards will arrive in the next couple days. Disc golf isn't always about winning...don't forget to have fun. This is the perfect event to see what you can do.

We'll be having an "after party" at the Badin Inn (Hardaway Point) where beer and food will be available. We encourage everyone to come out, relax and enjoy the fact we have 5 courses in our little county. You might even see Bryon relaxed and smiling.

If you don't have card mates or others...don't worry, others are looking for card mates as well. Again, it's not all about the stress of winning. You'll get a card that works well. I'm sure carpooling will easily be resolved. We just need at least 3 on a card to verify scores.

Just, do it. Don't let your dreams be dreams...

PS. I'll give you a glass and disc for $30 if you register/buy disc...

Stanly County Ironman is a Disc golf tournament in Oakboro, North Carolina beginning April 17, 2021 and hosted by Uwharrie Disc Golf.

March on Oakboro TD report has been submitted and the event is in the books.

We had 73 competitors and almost perfect conditions. We missed out on all the rain and it wasn't too wet.

Big thanks to a great field. Things went smoothly and it was my pleasure running the event.

Now it's time for Stanly County Ironman on 4/17!
