PA House Judiciary Committee Vote to Infringe Upon Civil Rights with Mandatory Storage Bill
On Monday, June 8th, 2026 at 10:30 AM, the PA. House Judiciary Committee will discuss bills before the Committee for consideration. One of those bills is HB 2244 - Secure Storage of Fi****ms.
There are numerous reasons why this bill should be seen as a clear attack on our Article I, Section 21 right here in PA. The government of this Commonwealth has NO PLACE in mandating how law-abiding gun owners secure their fi****ms in their homes, automobiles, or on their persons. This is yet another effort to infringe upon the civil rights of very resident of Pennsylvania!
However, representatives from the Democrat party who dominate the judiciary committee continue to push for government oversight of how we exercise our Article I, Section 21 right in PA! SHALL NOT BE QUESTIONED.
Help do your part to keep the 2nd Amendment alive in Pennsylvania!

Dear Representatives of the House Judiciary Committee,
I am writing as a concerned constituent to respectfully express my opposition to HB 2244 currently under consideration in committee.
This bill not only violates the Pennsylvania Constitution, but laws of this nature have a long history of putting the lives of law abiding citizens at risk, showing increases in violent crime in every state they've been enacted in. On average, homicides rise by 300, rapes by more than 3,000, and robberies by more than 24,000 in the first five years of these laws being enacted! This is an average across fifteen sampled states with such laws!
Please stand by the law-abiding citizens of Pennsylvania and
OPPOSE HB 2244.
