Regarding the LEFT side of the YORK range, effective immediately:
The pictured barrels/cones constitute the forward firing line.
A rear firing line will be established, and permanent markings will be made very soon.
Very soon, permanent lines will be marked on the right (paper) side as well.
There are 40 targets, some of which are multiple plates... 52 plates in all. From 7 to 40 yards. You can find something to shoot. Many do not require resetting. Several other targets will be emplaced as they are repaired... leave them where they are.
Do not go forward of this line except to paint or reset targets.
Do not shoot - or move latteraly... outside of the 'box' / firing line.
Do not move the targets. They are emplaced to limit splash zones, in consideration of target type/use and in relation to berms, angles and safety. They may be moved by club officers in the future. If a hazzard is noted, contact the BOD.
By moving WITHIN the firing line box, every target is clear to shoot. Some far targets are less obscured when near targets are down.
Take particular care NOT to shoot at or hit targets that are DOWN... this is a ricochet hazzard.
Take care not to shoot target posts, frames, chains, etc. Do not shoot moving target posts or canbles.
This will not prohibit the future use of the YORK range for events wherein the steel targets may be moved by club officials/Range Officers, or with permission by instructors or Match Directors. Otherwise... Don't move them.
No rifles, AR or AK pistols, PDWs, rifle calibers, calibers with a muzzle velocity of 1250 fps or greater are allowed on the steel targets on YORK.
EYE protection is required to be WORN at all times... NOT just when shooting... in the vicinity of this range. When downrange, you are in the splash zone of Coleman and Sutton ranges.
