Meyers/Homer/Dixie Surf Scoters 72s

I’ve got 2 dozen plus 10 singles. All meyers bodies. Most have homer heads. I bought all the heads Homer had at the time. One is a white wing painted as such. Used Dixie on most of the rest and have a few with autumn wings heads.

Double restle coated. The Homer heads have a second lead keel weight to ensure they self right. These have been hunted over and are in hunted condition. Unsinkable and lifetime warrantied. Ready to hunt for a lifetime.

2 dozen rigged on longlines. Direct tie. In tanglefree zip top bags. $250/dz. Buy both dozen I’ll throw in the ten loose ones for free.

Pick up only in eastern Virginia. Will not ship. Will not entertain the idea or suggestion of it.

Back in the day…. Hard core decoys made some amazing full bodies. I still have and hunt over half a dozen full body ducks and the hard core hen “widowmaker” turkey decoy. Lately, I’ve found they have changed to more of a budget brand decoy. Not bad for the price but times change and they certainly still sell a lot of decoys. I see more of the smaller lower end ones than I do these big magnums. I’m impressed with them. Solid unit! They turned out pretty sharp too! Not for sale.

Hopefully 🤞🏾 you like to listen to music while you work; I’m no exception certainly. One of my favorite playlists is a mix of lesser known country and Americana singers. Cody Jinks, Colter Wall, Tyler Childers, Shane Smith and the Saints, and local boys 49 Wi******er who I really like.

Also, there is Sturgil Simpson who has a song called “Some days” I quote a lot.

“Some days you kill it, and some days you choke
Some days you blast of, and others you just smoke…”

These mallards killed it and blasted off.

You can do just about anything with a good foundation like these Meyer's Classic Decoys 72 divers with Autumn Wings basswood heads. These blackheads (local name for scaup/bluebills) were restle coated, sealed, primed, and painted. Ready for a lifetime of service.

Continuing the “12 days of decoys” theme, here is a flock of original old school Big Foot Canada geese decoys that we affectionately refer to as “baby ostriches”. Double flocked and airbrushed.

They remain the gold standard for hunting honkers in the far east Atlantic Flyway. They reliably fool some of the most pressured geese on the continent.
