Wrong Turn Mega Truck After a rough race season in 2016, we knew we would have to rebuild our truck completely. We found out we were going to have to start from scratch completely.

A Chevy Colorado full tube chassis custom built by Klee Tech fabrication sitting on meritor axles, FTI drop box and transmission, mid engine 665bbc american force aluminum rims with BKT 14.9-24 cut tires We weren't sure of the extent of the damage until we tore into the truck. Here is why ---- we burnt holes in 2 pistons, cracked the head, bent spring hangers, bent the axle, the transmission crack

ed the bell housing, and the list goes on. We started searching for ideas and went to look at some parts at the Race shop, but we took a wrong turn in Isle, South Carolina. We found a full tube chassis built by Outlaw Chassis, a complete Chevy Colorado Fiberglass body with f106 axles, sheet metal outers, and aluminum hubs, SCS DropBox, Power Glide Trans with over 700cui (all throttle with a bit of bottle when needed). This truck was appropriately built with little expenses spared, and we were super excited to get it on the track. We want to thank everyone involved:

We want to take a moment to thank our continued partners and supporters as we head into an exciting 2026 season.

Huge thank you to Nitrous Outlet for the continued support — top-tier products, knowledge, and backing that we’re proud to represent.
We’re also excited to welcome RD Holder Oil Company to the Wrong Turn Team, always supplying top-quality race fuel and outstanding service.
We’re proud to welcome KC HiLiTES to the Wrong Turn Team for 2026 — excited to work together and light up the season ahead.

The offseason has been anything but slow for us. We’ve been super busy behind the scenes with major cosmetic maintenance and upgrades — including a brand-new logo that was designed as part of this refresh.

Due to a paint issue on the chassis, we made the call to strip the truck completely, had the chassis sandblasted, and repainted from the ground up. After digging in, we found the issue was product-related — it happens — and now it’s better than ever.

At the same time, we’ve been converting the truck to a complete EFI setup. We’re down to the final stages of the install — just waiting on fuel lines and one last sensor — and then she’s headed to the chassis dyno.

In 2025, we put the KleeTech chassis through a rigorous test to see how it would hold up — and as expected, it was flawless.

Oh… and yes… I did get a new grease gun this winter 😄

Huge thank you to Nitrous Outlet for the continued support and for taking the time to answer questions, guide me in the right direction, and make sure every detail was exactly right. The move to a full EFI conversion was a big step, and your knowledge and confidence made that decision easy.

A special thank you to Branden for working so closely with me lately and making sure nothing was overlooked, as well as the entire sales team—every time I need parts or advice, you all take the time to ensure I have exactly what’s needed. That level of support truly sets you apart.
