Travel and Academy tryouts for tonight are postponed. The academy tryouts will be postponed to Saturday May 30th at 12:30 pm and last for an hour. The travel tryouts for the kids born from August 1st, 2013 to July 31st, 2016 will be Thursday May 28th from 6:30-7:30 pm, while the boys born August 1st, 2011 to July 31st, 2013 will be from 7:30-8:30 pm the same day.

Makeup tryouts for the Fall 2026 season have been announced. Academy makeups will be Tuesday May 26th from 6 - 7:15 pm. All kids born from August 1st, 2016 to July 31st, 2019 are eligible for this program. Travel tryouts for kids born from August 1st, 2013 to July 31st, 2016 are also on May 26th from 6 - 7:15 pm, while tryouts for the U15 Boys team (August 1st, 2011 to July 31st, 2013 will be later that evening at 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm.

Tryouts for the high school aged teams, along with the U16 girls team will be Saturday May 30th, from 2 pm to 3:15 pm.

If you are interested in tryouts for our programs, please register at pyslsoccer.net. If you have registered for the earlier tryouts in May, you do not have to register. Just show up and check in. We encourage those who came to the first tryouts to attend the second ones, as more ball time gives coaches a chance to see you play. Please arrive 30 minutes before your tryout to check in. CHAMPIONS! The Boys 2012/2013 team went undefeated this weekend at the NC Fusion Cup, taking First Place in the Silver Division.

PYSL‘s Boys 2012/2013 team, coached by Christian Garcia, is headed to the Finals this afternoon at the NC Fusion Cup in Greensboro. They are 3-0 and won their semi-final game in penalty kicks.

Academy tryouts for tonight are still on for 6 pm at Smith River Sports Complex.

The academy program is open to players born from August 1st, 2016 to July 31st, 2019. The program is designed to develop players for the travel program, with additional opportunities to play tournaments and festivals around the local area. This program has a focus of building player development, while zeroing in on attempting to strengthen technical skills
