The fields are available by reservation only for field sports such as Soccer, Lacrosse, Football, Field Hockey, Ultimate Frisbee, T-Ball and other outdoor events. The Smith River Sports Complex (SRSC) is a 90 acre, 8.7 million dollar multi-use sports development located in Martinsville Virginia, a few miles down the road from the Martinsville Speedway and right off the 58 bypass. We are operated b

y the Southern Virginia Recreation Facilities Authority and funded by a grant from the Harvest Foundation. The vision of the Southern Virginia Recreation Facilities Authority is to be a regional center for community wellness and athletics. Our mission is to address a community need for diverse sports opportunities and to enhance the visibility and image of the Martinsville-Henry County area. Through sports tourism we bring additional revenues to support local businesses and boost economic growth in the region. We achieve our mission by creating partnerships and strategies to develop, promote and manage the Smith River Sports Complex. Not only do we have 2 FieldTurf Synthetic Fields with bleachers, 3 fully irrigated Bermuda T-10 Grass Fields, 1 fully irrigated Fescue Grass Field, we also have 2 picnic shelters, an Evos Playground on synthetic play surface, and plenty of concrete walking trails featuring an irrigated pond with scenic fountains. Also, the Complex has a concession stand that is open for many events. SRSC Awards:

Friday, September 25 is Spirit FM VA/WV/NC Night at the Henry County Fair as we welcome Austin French to the Bassett Furniture Stage! The show is at 7:00pm and is included in the gate admission.
