And the queen is baaaacckk! 😊 Misty made a nice smooth run and felt like her old self again! 🙌🏻 Her comeback has been a while in the making, and she’s not in running shape because she’s had it easy for the most part this summer. I originally started her back to the left, but she’s clearly a righty and much happier that I let her go back to the right. Sorry, girl! 🤦🏽‍♀️ We are ready now and will be getting back into shape for the fall. God’s timing is perfect, and I’m so blessed to get to run Misty again while I am training her daughter. Storm is so much like her momma! 🩷

What a blessing that little rain shower was this morning, thank you Lord! 🌧️ We had a great weekend and enjoyed the Saddle Shot race in Glen Rose Saturday evening. Cherry 🍒 made a great run, her fastest time in the Expo and ended up middle 2D. The heat didn’t faze her in the least. Me on the other hand 🫠. 🥵 Now they get a couple weeks off to just get through this heat, and she definitely earned it! ❤️

Cherry 🍒 made a respectable run tonight, as well. ❤️ Times have just gotten so fast that we still ended up middle of the 3D. She’s working good, I just need to trust her and get out of her way so we can speed things up again. 🔥

Well, I’ll be … Mika just figured out barrel racing is a speed event! 💨 It’s hard to tell, be she was really getting it on the run home. 🙌🏻 Not only did she crush her personal best at Groesbeck 18.4, she won her very first check placing 2nd in the 5D! 💙
It’s been several weeks since she’s been anywhere to make a run and the break must have done her good. That and I think all the pasture breezing finally paid off. 🐎 😆
I’m so proud of my baby barrel horse! 💪🏻

Cherry 🍒 had a good run at Groesbeck tonight. Between me pulling her into the first and her not finishing her third barrel we just missed out on another 16 second run. I was proud of her effort! 💪🏻 ❤️
Mika went in with no exhibitions and really tried hard. She ran her fastest time to date in Groesbeck and we had a little detour between first and second. Without that little mishap I think we would have hit our goal of running an 18 second run. I can’t give up on her when she has literally improved her time every single time she’s been entered so we will keep plugging away. 💙 It’ll get there with time. 🙏🏼
