Shoreline Sailboats was started by brothers, Kyle and Darren Leonard, in 2012 as a way to promote their favorite sport, sailing. They agreed that the most fun they had sailing as kids was on the iconic Sunfish. They raced big boats and windsurfed, but to really be able to get out on the water quickly in just about any conditions, they always relied on their family Sunfish. Shoreline was establishe

55 years ago, a fire destroyed the original Melges Performance Sailboats factory in Zenda, Wisconsin.

What could have ended the story became part of the legacy instead. The building was lost, but the passion for building boats carried on.
