This is a 2 day Festival of Fun, so gather up the entire family and come try out Stand Up Paddleboarding, join in some fun races, and don’t forget your appetite for the BBQ on Sunday! Who:

Whether it’s your first time paddling a standup board, or you’re a seasoned race pro, anyone can join the fun! We’ll have race divisions to keep the playing field even, and lots of fun events for those a bit le

ss competitive. Where:

Cape Hatteras is part of a pristine string of barrier islands which jut off the coast of North Carolina. It was the nation’s very first National Seashore. Hatteras Island is about 70 miles long, but you can hit a golf ball clear across the width of much of this skinny strip of sand. Miles and miles of wide open, raw, natural, exposed beaches have kept Cape Hatteras unique, and in 2010 Dr. Beach ranked it the 4th best beach in America!

Weather here on the Outer Banks this winter has been pretty mild, with great conditions for all sorts of water sports. We are just 19 weeks away from our next Paddle Palooza. Come visit the outer banks to see for yourself how great this season can be!

This will be the 5th year the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation has hosted the OBX Paddle Palooza. We are thrilled with the support we have received from all our participants! Can anybody help us figure out how many years the event has been happened? I'm thinking it's the 9th annual but it could be the 10th??? Thank you in advance for helping solve this mystery :)

A couple last minute updates...
When registering our board classes will be as follows:
14' boards are considered PRO class
12'6 boards are considered Amateur class

Rental boards are not provided with registration. However, OceanAir Sports has offered to provide boards to participants in need of one in lieu of a cash donation to the Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation

Tomorrow is the big day. Regiatration can be done online at PaddleGuru by visiting OBX Paddle Palooza or we will open registration on site tomorrow morning beginning at 9am. Don't forget about SUP yoga taught by Amy at 8am. We have a fun filled day with gorgeous weather. We cannot wait!
