Like many gyms around the country, we’ll be taking on MURPH this Memorial Day at Black Flag Strength & Conditioning.

At BFSC, this day means far more than a workout. It’s an opportunity to honor and remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country, while also recognizing those who have served and continue to serve to protect our freedoms.

This year, in addition to raising funds for , we’ve created an HONOR WALL to commemorate the men and women who have served our nation — those we’ve lost, those who have served in the past, and those currently serving today.

We invite anyone who would like to participate in Murph — or a modified version of the workout — to join us for this special day. All fitness levels are welcome.

“Functional Training” is one of the most misunderstood terms in fitness.

At Black Flag Strength & Conditioning, we believe functionality is determined by intention — not by how advanced, explosive, or athletic an exercise may appear.

A dumbbell curl can be every bit as functional as a power clean or a box jump when it is programmed with a specific purpose and desired adaptation in mind.
