Together, We Remember.

Tomorrow morning, Ridge Area Arc will come together for a special 9/11 Remembrance Event in partnership with the Mason G. Smoak Foundation.

Beginning at 8:00 AM, Alex will raise our American flag, followed by a few words from Major Darren Hood of the Highlands County Sheriff’s Department. Then, our consumers, staff, board members, and community friends will place 442 American flags inside our track in remembrance and reflection.

We’re grateful to have Heartland Horses and the Avon Park Fire Department joining us, along with others from our community who continue to support Ridge Area Arc.

The flags will be placed inside the track, allowing more of our wheelchair consumers to take part in this meaningful morning. ❤️🤍💙

📰✨ We made the news!

We’re so excited to see Ridge Area Arc and our recent visit with local law enforcement cadets featured in the Highlands News-Sun! 🧡👮‍♂️

It was a wonderful morning filled with learning, laughter, meaningful conversations, and plenty of smiles as the cadets learned more about individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the amazing people we serve.

A BIG thank you to the cadets for spending time with us and to the Highlands News-Sun for sharing our story! 🧡

🐾 Daisy Doodle was on the move! 🐾

Daisy and her buddy Mark spent yesterday morning making their rounds and spreading smiles at our group homes! 💕🐶

They started at Lotela House, where everyone enjoyed a fun visit and plenty of pictures! 📸 Then it was off to Cornell House, where Daisy was definitely a hit and soaked up all the attention. 🥰

With a little extra time, they kept the fun going with stops at Sunset House and Queen Palm! 🏡✨

Lots of smiles, lots of puppy love, and—most importantly—lots of memories made! 🐾🧡

A big thank you to Mark & Daisy Doodle for spending the morning with our consumers. We’re already looking forward to your next visit!
