🎥 This One’s Different – But It’s From the Heart 💙
Most of you know me for kayak fishing, Lake Erie, and water safety—but before I ever picked up a fishing rod, I learned something even more important: when people are in trouble, you step up.
After Hurricane Helene, I traveled to Burnsville, North Carolina along the Cane River, a place where homes were destroyed, roads were washed away, and lives were forever changed. What I witnessed wasn’t just devastation—it was resilience, strength, and an unshakable spirit.
The experience changed me. It reminded me of what I always say about water:
➡ Respect it. Prepare for it. Because when things go wrong, you don’t get a second chance.

When disaster strikes, we don’t hesitate—we show up.
For days, we worked side by side—clearing massive piles of debris, cutting fallen trees, and hauling away the wreckage. We didn’t do it for recognition. We did it because it was the right thing to do.
The same way we look out for each other on the water, we stand together in times of crisis. Whether we’re paddling through waves or rebuilding after the storm, we know this truth:
