Coming from someone who has been passionate about fitness and exercise, for as long as I can remember, I have to admit: the drive doesn’t always come easy.
No matter your level of dedication or goals, the eventual “fitness slump” is practically inevitable. Even so, “the slump” isn’t necessarily a negative thing and it certainly doesn’t have to make or break your physical progress.
Here are some tips I personally use to encourage my clients and myself when needed:
☀️ Find an Accountability Partner. This can be a friend, family member or a fitness coach like me. Don't be surprised if they end up loving being your teammate!
☀️ Change It Up! When it's the same thing over and over eventually a workout can turn boring. So try something new! There are various workouts (ie. running, hiking, weight lifting, yoga, pilates, stretching, etc) that can be just as fun and rewarding.
☀️ Go outside! Being closer to nature and feeling more grounded can bring you a sense of peace you may have been craving. Go to your local park for a walk or run. Try doing so without any music and distractions and notice how your body feels. Get to know yourself better and see what works best for you!
☀️ Go shopping! This one is my personal favorite. Whether it's to start off my month on a positive note or rewarding myself for meeting a new goal, rewarding myself with a new outfit really changes my mood. If clothes isn't your thing then treat yourself to a new skincare product, book or video game! Whatever rewards suits you best and it can be something to look forward to.
Don't forget I'm here to help guide you throughout this journey. Feeling better physically and mentally as well so you can be the best version of yourself. To book a consultation with me for in-person or online training simply send me a DM and we can get started today! 📱
