Winter Camp for Kids is coming to the Avenal Recreation Center. Keep your kids active and having fun during winter break with arts and crafts, games, and more. Lunch is provided. Open to ages 7–14. Spots are limited, so register now.

Summer Kidz Spot 2025 has officially come to an end! ☀️💚
Meet our amazing staff who made this summer so special: Isabel, Caeleb, and Cynthia!

🔸 Isabel led our cooking and baking sessions, helping the kids make some delicious treats!
🔸 Caeleb brought the energy every day, playing outdoor sports and games with the kids.
🔸Cynthia oversaw the entire program, from handling paperwork to organizing field trips, both local in Avenal and out of town. She collaborated with community and outside organizations to bring fun, engaging experiences to Kidz Spot. She played a huge role in making sure there was something exciting planned for the kids every single day!
They were all supported and overseen by Recreation Leader Anna Lara and City Manager Antony Lopez.

To our Parents and Kidz:
Thank you to all the returning families and those who joined us for the first time this summer. Without your amazing kids, there wouldn’t be a Kidz Spot program, and definitely not one this fun! We hope we created a summer full of memories that your kids will carry with them as they grow up. Just like Miss Cynthia still remembers her days at Kidz Spot, we hope your kids will look back on the summer of 2025 as a fun and unforgettable part of their childhood. Wishing all our Kidz a safe and successful upcoming school year, 2025–2026! 📚✨ 😊

Well that’s a wrap for Summer Kidz Spot “2025” 💚

Big shoutout to one of our Kidz Spot stars, Natalie “Glitters” Zavala! 🥊✨

Natalie has been training hard in boxing and it’s definitely paying off! She represents the Avenal Underdogs Boxing Club under Coach Michael Trejo, and she’s already making waves in the ring.
▪️On July 12, she traveled to Tres Pinos and came in 2nd place, earning a trophy for Fight of the Night.
◽️On July 13, she headed to Temecula for the Best in the West SoCal State Tournament and brought home the belt!
▪️From July 24–27, she competed in her most recent tournament, made it all the way to the finals, and gave it her all.
