Doug, Kyle, Griffon, Emerson, Charlotte and Annalise were on our Backwater Trip today. They were in Avalon this week relaxing in between the girl’s lacrosse tournaments in the Baltimore and Philadelphia area. We had to fight some windy conditions but they managed to bring 13 flounder on board. Doug did catch the only keeper. He hooked the flounder along with a piece of garden fence. Yesterday we participated in the 3rd Annual Flounder Tournament put on by Slack Tide Brewing Company and Boulevard Bait & Tackle LLC. Our team this year was Dave, Dan, Chad and Shane. We fished hard all day. Newbie Chad caught 3 keepers which we entered in the heaviest stringer category. We didn’t win but we had a great time. In just 3 years this tournament has grown into one of the premier tournaments in South Jersey. All proceeds go to the Townsend Inlet Reef Project. Thank you to all who participated.
