To experience something so eye opening with some of the most insightful people in the horse world continues to be an extremely enlightening ongoing experience.

What I have learned from hosting a live 3 day Whole Horse Dissection with Trinity Equine Services (~exactly 2 years ago) with a horse I rescued & owned for 20 years and exhuming his skeleton with a couple brilliant ladies, Marissa & Dr. Miki:
1. A bright eyed loving horse that keeps weight & gets around well enough ≠ comfort &/or quality of life.
2. They hold everything together for us until the final moments of their life.
3. Letting go & seeing all this has been the best closure I could have ever received.
4. Horses have more to teach us beyond their life here on Earth.
5. Horses don’t have to be ridden (improperly) the majority of their life to have major pathological damage to their body.

I will be writing from my perspective about Dusty’s story from beginning to end. I am so excited to share with those who wish to continue Dusty’s legacy.

Thank you to all those who’ve played a part in his story so far. 🤍
