Providing horsemanship lessons to students of varying degrees of experience, we hold safety and quality to the highest of standards. We hold our practices to the standards of ARIA( American Riding Instructors Association)
We allow our students to each progress at their own pace to ensure they reach their highest potential. During our sessions, our students learn the proper and safe handling, groo

ming, caring for, and controlling of horses. In mastering these skills, our students become adept equestrians. Our mission is to ensure when our students encounter horses in an everyday setting (a friend or family member owns a horse/horses) they are capable of safely participating and troubleshooting should the need arise. ASTM/SEI certified helmets are required for ALL students any time they are mounted. (Rental helmets are available, as well as used helmets for purchase!)

We also ask that anyone accompanying the students to our facilities( friends and/or family members) wear closed toed shoes.

Let your child have a bad ride.
I know you want to protect them from the hardships of this world.
I know you want to give them success and good experiences.
I know you don't want to see them get hurt. To see them fall. To see them fail.
But, hear me out, let your child have a bad ride.

Let them cry the tears of frustration.
Let them shake the sand out from the inside of their riding pants.
Let them face the fear building inside of them.
Let them step back on again.

Yes, let your child have a bad ride.
Let them hate the horse that challenges them.
Let them learn what fight and passion and ambition mean.
Let them realize that when they refuse to quit the horse will take the time to listen.

Grant them the joy of realizing that they are connecting with another living being.
Grant them the joy of realizing that they, although they are small, can be powerful.
Grant them the joy of seeing their hard work pay off, through the days of tears can come a love unspeakable.

Yes, let your child have a bad ride.
Afterall, life will grant us plenty of them.

*not my words, but I loved them so much I just had to share.* written by Sarah Crouse!

Everyone needs to pay attention to this. Two local riders have been seriously hurt this week after falls from their horses. Under no circumstance should you ever sit in a saddle without a helmet on. If you ride English, wear a helmet. If you ride Western, WEAR A HELMET. If you're jumping, you should be wearing a helmet. If you run barrels, you should absolutely be wearing a helmet! If you're out on the trails with your friend, both of you should be wearing a helmet! Check your ego and your coolness factor at the door. A cracked helmet could have been your skull. Not everyone comes away from a fall okay. Some people are left paralyzed and worse yet, some people die. Don't take your life for granted by not wearing a helmet.
