šŸMid-Season RecapšŸ
We’re about halfway through Calans second season at Wythe Raceway and its fan appreciation night. We’ve fell behind on videos as life has been busy and we’ve spent a lot of time working on the cars.

In the super street, Calan is currently sitting 3rd in points. He has had 1 win and 9 top 5 finishes out of 11 races. Superstreet is a tough class. There are lots of drivers with more years of experience in racing than Calan has been alive. It’s very competitive. Each driver and pit crew is picked apart for any mistake they make (and believe me, they all make mistakes - Calan has for sure). A lot of Calans mistakes have been related to his age and lack of experience. Calan works hard to be competive and hang in there with the top 3-4 drivers. Does that mean he races aggressively? Absolutely! But let’s be honest, every racer out there races aggressively. They are all out there chasing that checkered flag. Everyone is trying to improve week to week. Everyone is looking for a better finish or even a win.

For the modified, Calan wrecked early in the season and we are working on getting it back together. The main focus is the superstreet so the modified has been on the back burner. Our goal is to give him the opportunity to try some different tracks, give him more seat time and add to his experience.

We all work tirelessly to learn and improve. We aren’t racing to make millions. It’s not a career. We’re racing as a hobby. It teaches sportsmanship and keeps Calan out of trouble. Its family time. He’s in the garage daily working on his car. It’s taught him discipline, accountability, and respect. When his car gets tore up, he gets angry and upset because it’s his responsibility to work on it.

We give all the glory to God. We’re grateful to have the opportunity to race and for the hedge of protection around Calan. We are also blessed to have amazing sponsors, race family and supporters.

We had a much better night. Qualified 3rd. We came up a little short in the feature but finished 4th. Calan is learning every week. Now if we can get all these lessons put together.

The on car camera was a wash this week. It was covered almost immediately with mud.

As always many thanks to our loyal sponsors and fans.

First race of the year at Wythe Raceway

It wasn’t our best night. With a young driver, there are still many lessons to be learned. Calan made some mistakes but that’s how you learn.

Many thanks to all our sponsors!

Talk about wow!!! We can’t thank Jacob and Wyatt at Precision Grafix enough for how good this thing turned out. This thing is wrapped from front to back, top to bottom, except for the small section on the nose. We have never seen a car look as good up close with a wrap as it does far away. Their customer service is second to none. We also want to thank all our new and old sponsors for your continued support. If anyone is interested in helping we have more space available on the car and plan to wrap our open wheel in the next few weeks.
