Lugia and Mega Ampharos will be our next raid rotation in Pokémon GO.

🗓️ August 4 - 11 at 10:00am

Neither of these Pokémon is a must-have in terms of meta relevance, although they both have great shiny forms in my opinion.

Lugia is a Psychic, Flying-type with some decent bulk, so bring an extra trainer or two to ensure you beat this raid boss.

Mega Ampharos will be soloable by the strongest trainers, but 2-3 trainers should have no problem taking this one down.

Here are all the perfect IV Combat Power values for August in Pokémon GO (that we know of)!

Note: This does not include all of the Dark Skies & Max Finale Pokémon. I will create a separate graphic for that event.

Week 1: Lugia, Mega Ampharos, Dynamax Omanyte, and Gigantamax Butterfree
Week 2: Ho-Oh, Mega Slowbro, Dynamax Trubbish, and Origin Palkia & Dialga raid day.
Week 3: Dark Skies & Max Finale (graphic coming later), Dynamax Chansey, and Mega Pidgeot
Week 4: Necrozma, Mega Salamence, and Dynamax Pidove

Virizion is back in tier-five raids this week in Pokémon GO.

Virizion is a Grass, Fighting dual-type used primarily in the Ultra League. It's double weak to Flying-type moves, making Rayquaza an extremely potent damage dealer.

Gigantamax Butterfree is fluttering into Pokémon GO for a Max Battle Day!

🗓️ Sunday, August 3rd, from 2:00 - 5:00pm
✨ Shiny available

With its triple resistance to Ground-type attacks, Butterfree could be a niche tank, but as an attacker, it's not super relevant. It will be our only Gigantamax Pokémon with a Bug-type Max Move, but Pokémon with other types usually do more damage.

We'll have two extra special trades, which are excellent for big meetups.

Lunala will be in tier-five raids for the first time ever in Pokémon GO!

🗓️ July 22 - 28 (raid hour on the 23rd)
✨ Shiny is NOT available
💯 2310 // 2887 hundo CP

Lunala is excellent on its own, but fuse it with Necrozma to create Dawn Wings Necrozma, the best Ghost-type raid attacker in the game.

These raids will not reward Fusion Energy, but obtaining Cosmog has been extremely limited until recently. Hold on to a few Lunala to fuse in the future, as Lunar Fusion Energy is sure to return.

Top counters are going to be our top Dark and Ghost-types like Tyranitar, Dawn Wings Necrozma, Abol, Gengar, and Houndoom.
