Empowered Acro teaches acroyoga in a fun, safe, and accessible way to people of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels in Austin, Texas.

We teach public classes, private lessons, workshops, and private events. At Empowered Acro, we view acro as a tool for bringing people together and believe fostering trust and play within communities brings positive change into the world.

Empowered Acro’s founders Katrina Repman and Chris Cox met in 2013 through the acro scene in Austin, Texas. The pair connected quickly over their shared

passion for graceful movement, genuine connection, and matching outfits. They spent the following 5 years training under globally renowned acro instructors and teaching at music festivals around the country. In 2017, the pair opened their studio: (Empowered Acro) and became founding board members of their local community’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Austin Acro Advocates). EA quickly grew to a team of over 25 instructors and taught 950 students each year. In response to the pandemic, they reduced their offerings to only private lessons. EA reopened their doors for all levels of public classes in March 2022 and currently teach classes, private lessons, workshops, and private parties & events.

The piece will debut as part of BLL's Gold Dust: an aerial student showcase accompanied by the music of Fleetwood Mac.
