Alumni Spotlight 🔦: Eve Tryals

Her story 🏉- “I started playing with the Valkyries in the early 2000’s. Rugby and the camaraderie of the women I played with like Jen Joyce, Meg Pace, Kim Davis, LaToya Bigelow,Anna Kunkel,  Rocky Suniga(Osborn) saved my life and those women are still friends today.

I am a prop. Was a prop I guess. We had a pretty formidable pack. If you know JJ our 8 man at the time she can tell you a bit more. They were exciting times,  big wins some hard losses but as it is in life, so it is in rugby right?”

Since 1991, the Austin Valkyries have been fostering a culture of respect, empowerment, and growth on and off the pitch 🖤❤️

As one of Texas' longest standing women's rugby clubs, we're proud of our history and excited for what's to come. Competing hard in USA Rugby Division I, we're more than just a team we're a community.
