🏊‍♀️Rattan Creek Swim Team Season Update + Extra Pool Time! ☀️

Hi neighbors! Just a quick heads-up that swim team is now in full swing, which means they’ll be using the pool weekday evenings through May 22. We know these hours aren’t ideal for everyone, and we truly appreciate your patience and support for our young swimmers! 💙

Good news! Thanks to having a great staff in place this season, we’re excited to offer additional open swim time for members:

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays
11:00 AM – 1:30 PM (regular hours)
NEW: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Saturdays 11:00am-8:00pm (May 16 & 30 pool opens at 2pm)
Sundays 12:00pm-8:00pm

We hope this gives families more opportunities to get out, cool off, and enjoy the pool during swim season! 🌊

Please note:

The pool will not be open 3-5 on May 20 due to a previously scheduled private event with a local elementary school.

We can’t guarantee these extra hours every year, but we’re happy to make it happen this season and hope you’ll take advantage of it!

🚨 Junior Lifeguard Program – Registration Now Open! 🚨

Do you have a child ages 11–15 interested in lifeguarding or water safety? Our two-week Junior Lifeguard Program teaches essential water safety skills, introduces participants to lifeguarding, and offers opportunities to volunteer at the pool.

🕘 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM📅 Monday–Thursday | Two Weeks

⚠️ This is not a lifeguard certification course.

**Children must be able to swim 25YDS either freestyle or breast stroke confidently and tread water for at least 1 minute.

Swim Team Season Hours
April 27 – May 22

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM (Open & Lap Swim)

Monday–Friday: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Lap Swim only, 2 shared lanes)

Lap swimmers must be actively swimming and keeping pace with others.

For liability and insurance purposes, no one may remain on deck during swim team practice.

Saturday: 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Sunday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Fridays are used only as needed for rain-out makeups

❄️ Weather Update – Rattan Creek Pool & Community Center Closure ❄️

Due to continued freezing temperatures and unsafe conditions from the winter weather, the Rattan Creek Pool and Community Center will remain closed tomorrow.

We plan to reopen during normal operating hours on Wednesday, January 28, once conditions improve and we can ensure the facility is safe for both our staff and residents.

If a neighborhood emergency occurs and the Community Center has power, we will do our best to open the facility as a warming and charging center for residents. Safety for our staff and community will guide this decision.

Any updates will be shared here on Facebook and through text notifications.

🎉 Exciting Update for North Austin MUD #1 Residents!

Premier Recreation, in partnership with the North Austin MUD #1 Board of Directors, is excited to announce that we have fully transitioned to a new online software system!

Residents can now:
✅ Purchase pool and court memberships online
✅ Reserve facilities up to a year in advance
(lane line and court reservations remain limited to one week in advance)
