Alamo City Roller Derby is a skater-owned and operated all-female roller derby league. Flat-track derby is our specialty, and we strive to promote and support healthy competition within the roller derby community. Our league was founded in 2005 by Kat “Kitty Glitter” Feuerbackner and Cate “Nita Spankin” Compton. These two awesome ladies were on a mission to bring derby to San Antonio, Texas, where

our league still calls home today. The founding duo was able to recruit skaters and volunteers and form a league that could be nationally recognized. Years have gone by and ACRD continues to remember its humble, grassroots beginnings. We remain dedicated to community building and outreach as well as supporting women’s athleticism. We have mature as a league and still strive to increase our presence in the Alamo City and the world of roller derby. Join us on June 7 as the Las Luchadoras take on The MissyFits in a tropical showdown at Car-Vel Skate Center!

🔥 Stay for the Fire Show! 🔥

After the final whistle, we'll celebrate with MVP awards, team photos, and a fan meet-and-greet with the skaters. About 20 minutes later, we'll head outside for a special fire performance presented by the Hula Halau Ohana Elikapeka dancers.

The fire show will take place in the parking lot in front of the food truck, with a portion of the lot closed for safety during the performance.
