Help us keep his legacy alive and let us know if you'd like to be involved as we build this great community! Edward's University Rugby Football Club is a Club Sport at St. In 2009 SEURFC was re-established as a club sport on the St. Edward's campus, 7 years after the original Ram Rugby team was disbanded. The team is made up of both U.S. and International Non-Scholarship athletes and full-time und
ergraduate students, hailing from various places across the globe such as Texas, New York, Wisconsin, New Hampshire, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and many other regions. The diversity of the team and the close knit and welcoming community at St. Edward's has created a team led by students that thrives in diversity, perseverance, camaraderie, friendship and honor. This is done through the development of young men both on and off of the field, as the team participates in over 600 hours of community service annually in the local community. These Students have quickly rose into notoriety on campus, as in 2010, they won the St. Edward's New Organization of the Year Award and in 2011, The Organization of the Year. This group of students leads and funds all operations of the club, including equipment, travel, insurance, registration fees, coaching fees, match and game day fees, travel arrangements and logistics, University and USA Rugby coordination, and most importantly, the development and growth of the team, where as, no player is turned down, no matter their physical or financial capabilities. Along with growing off of the field, the team has managed to move from having a record of 1-12, in 2009, to another undefeated regular season in 2012, 13-0-1, after finishing 5th in the Nation (16-1-1) in the 2010-2011 season. This year the team will be playing Texas Tech for the Texas State Championship on March 24th at Burr Field (Home of the Austin Blacks Rugby Team). After this game, the team will advance to the Round of 32 in St. Louis Missouri, after this Wisconsin for the Round of 16, and finally, Utah for the National Championship. All of which will be funded through players and donations from the community.
