Currently Coach Metz works for the Classics Elite Soccer Academy on the boys and the girl’s sides. Prior to coaching youth soccer he was an NCAA Division III head coach, played collegiately at DeAnza College in California and played professionally in the USL for 5 years. Coach Metz’s club teams have won state, regional and national titles and he has helped placed hundreds of student-athletes into college programs. Many of his players played or are currently playing in collegiate, professional or national team Programs. These player’s achievements are more about them as people than their coaches, but having coaches who know what the next level looks like and what it requires can be advantageous. Why We Are Different
We know there are many options out there for players looking to improve their game, so why choose Metzger Soccer Training? Simply put, Metzger Soccer Training has more experience in coaching players at the highest levels of youth soccer than any other training business in the San Antonio area. Coach Metz holds the highest coaching credentials available in this country and continually seeks out continuing education opportunities to pass on to his players. Metzger Soccer training focuses on realistic and applicable topics and skills, which is why we do small-group training as opposed to individual training. In small groups we can still focus on individual technique while replicating game situations by having the pressure of an opponent. Performing technique in game situations allow players to not only learn proper technique but also how to apply this technique under pressure, which is the definition of skill! If you are serious about your game then come train with the coach who has a proven track record at all levels of youth soccer!
