What an incredible weekend at Texas Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW)!

Women from across Texas gathered at the Brownwood 4-H Conference Center for a weekend filled with outdoor adventures, new skills, and lasting friendships!

From shooting sports and fishing to kayaking, outdoor education, and exciting new challenges, these women stepped outside their comfort zones and discovered just how capable they truly are!

A huge thank-you to our amazing instructors, volunteers, Friends of Texas BOW, sponsors, and the Brownwood 4-H Conference Center for making this weekend possible! And for our Louisiana BOW Coordinators for joining us and teaching our ladies trapping and LA Style Outdoor Cooking!

**From BOW retreat to 50+ Miles in the California Sierras!**

This is what **Becoming an Outdoors-Woman** is all about!

A BOW backpacking student, Melissa Langer, took her skills to the next level, joining BOW instructor **Ginger Fearey** on her **first 50+ mile backpacking adventure along the John Muir Trail in the California Sierras!**

From learning the basics at BOW to heading into the backcountry for a multi-day adventure—this is exactly why we do what we do.

BOW isn't just about learning a new skill for one weekend. It's about building the **confidence, knowledge, and connections** to keep exploring long after the retreat is over.

Way to go, ladies! We love seeing our BOW community out there putting those skills to use and taking on BIG adventures!
