Our aim is to provide an inviting and fun environment for dancers of all experience levels to learn and dance West Coast Swing! THE WHEN: Thursday evenings
- 7:45-8:30 Crash Course

(Level 0) Class - aka WCS101 - no experience required!
- 7:45-8:30 Patterns & Concepts (Level 2) Class - understanding of fundamentals of west coast swing required.
- 8:45-9:30 Foundations (Level 1) Class
- 8:30-11:00 Social Dance

We are very thankful to be celebrating 3 years 🪄 of serving the Austin WCS community 🥰. We love that more and more local dancers 💃 are learning their non-primary or non-traditional role 🔄. Wanna show off those skills? Grab ✌️ partners! We are collaborating with Swing Crush 💘 for a 3-for-all fun competition 💪!

The 3 winners 🥇 will each get entrance into the intensive of their choice at Swing Crush. 😱🎉

To participate in the fun competition on 2/5, at least 1 member of every team of 3 must be unpointed per WSDC or compete in the Newcomer/Novice division in their primary role.

Hi AWA Family! Don't forget to join us this Thursday for class and social dancing! We wanted to share a few tips to help make our check-in process a bit smoother this week as we continue to get accommodated to our new space.

1. We've attached the map below to help show how our classes will be arranged beginning this week and moving forward at Uptown Dance.
2. If you plan to attend any classes, plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the class start time to help get checked-in.
3. We will plan use both desks at the front for checking people in. We will also have someone at the door to help coordinate and guide you to which desk to move to for check-in
4. If you have taken classes at AWA before, know what class to sign up for, and how much to pay, you can venmo to help expedite. We will plan to have our door person with the QR codes available if needed to help as needed.
