Let me set the record straight.
(most) Personal trainers don’t get into this business to get rich. We get into it because we are so damn passionate and love to help people. But when someone wants to keep training, we hold on because we love them and it continues to pay us…
My longest clients have been upwards of six years.
The only reason why we stopped training is because one of us moved.
I love building a rapport with clients because I feel like I have been an integral part of their journey.
But when I work with clients now, I want you to gain so much knowledge and understanding of yourself and your goals, that we don’t have to do this forever.
A lot of my training has changed because of this fact. Instead of just showing up and telling you to do the exercises, I focus on getting you to understand your why so that you can better understand the why of exercise, programming and muscles worked.
Recently, I ran into an old running client I trained virtually for about two years. We worked together to get her marathon time down and she qualified for Boston.
She thanked me for helping her understand the value of strength training and now incorporates it on her own twice a week. These are the kind of success stories that mean the most to me.
I want to help get you there and stay consistent but then we work together to see the results drive you to continue on.
I work with 1:1 clients all the time doing this exact thing!
And as a side note: I’m not going to say no if you said “okay this is all cool Tara but I want to work with you forever,” but I will just be more sassy and friendship-y as well. 💗
