VH Dance Center Founded in 1991 to serve as a professional training center. Greatly due to Balanchine’s genius, 20th century ballet technique has reached higher limits as well.

The School of the Chicago Festival Ballet was founded in 1991 in order to offer the highest level of training in classical ballet. Today there is an athletic science behind the movement of dance and it is imperative to learn its exactness. Various techniques which were superior at the turn of the century are now quite outdated by today’s standards. As exemplified through the Olympics, the physical

achievements of man have evolved at an accelerated rate over the past half century. The strength of the Russian Vaganova technique, combined with the allegro nature of the lyrical Paris Opera technique, is what is known today as the Balanchine technique. At VH Dance Center, professional backgrounds, meticulous attention, and methodical analysis of these principles help to enable serious students to achieve their highest potential.

Introducing the **Studio Company Adult Artist Program** — a unique opportunity for dedicated adult dancers to train, rehearse, and perform alongside Studio Company and Chicago Festival Ballet dancers.

Designed for serious adult ballet students, this program provides a professional-style training experience while still accommodating work, family, and other life commitments.

✨ Membership Includes:
• Ballet technique classes twice weekly
• Pointe or pre-pointe training
• Contemporary training
• Studio Company rehearsals
• Masterclasses with guest artists
• Performance opportunities throughout the season
• All performance fees included

Whether your goal is to improve your technique, return to the stage, perform in full-length ballets, or simply challenge yourself artistically, the Adult Artist Program offers a supportive community of passionate dancers who continue to grow and perform together.

Every class should feel like a challenge! Professional ballet dancers feel challenged even in Beginner Level Ballet Classes! WHY??? Because they CHALLENGE THEMSELVES to plié, tendu, relevé the best they can, better than yesterday, every time! You need to challenge yourself that way in every class you attend.

If you tell your teacher that a class was too easy or that you need a harder class to feel challenged, you are telling them something about yourself. You are telling the world that you don't understand ballet yet.
