Here are some great pics from our All School Dual at Aurora High School on Wed 12/10/25. Thanks to J&M Photography for taking some fantastic action shots! The community showed up to support the Aurora Junior High and High School wrestlers as they took on Reeds Spring and Strafford. We began the evening introducing our new Aurora Youth Wrestling Club. Next we had our Senior walk where Captain's Jasmine Koehler and Cody Parnell along with 185lb wrestler Junior Lopez were honored for their time at AHS and contributions to the team. The wrestling started off with the Junior High Dawgs taking on Reeds Spring. Kellen Gaston and Judah Lewis started the night out strong for the Dawgs both securing pins in the first period before Reeds Spring turned up the heat and took the last 6 matches of the dual after some hard fought periods taking the dual with a final score of 31-12. Against Strafford the Junior High Dawgs bit back with Judah Lewis securing a tech fall and 5 points in the first match which energized a hungry Aurora team. Luke Hood, Braeden Harris, and Caleb Cooper all secured pins adding 18 points to the board and Hunter Batson pulled off a hard fought 9-1 major decision to give the Dawgs 27 points which was just enough to overcome Strafford's 24 points for securing 4 pins in the dual. The High School Dawgs were missing Captains Slate Schwin (157) and Case Parnell (135) due to injury and sickness as well as Varsity wrestlers Grant Price (126), Bryan Davis (132), Hayden Woods (157), and Michael Thomas (165). Due to the amount of Houn Dawgs out of the lineup Reeds Spring and Strafford both agreed to just wrestle the matches that could be made and set dual points aside for the evening. Heavyweight Rayden Kay was the standout performer of the night securing two pins in victories over Reeds Spring and Strafford. Captains Cody Parnell and Jasmine Koehler also secured victories in their only matches of the evening with Koehler securing a pin vs Strafford and Parnell securing a tech fall vs Reeds Spring. Varsity wrestlers Cameron Clevenger, Cameron Doyle, Junior Lopez, and Gracie Williams all wrestled well but fell short to more experienced opponents. Coach Jackson of Reeds Spring and Coach Burghardt of Strafford have both built very strong squads this season and the Houn Dawgs are hoping to be back to full strength when all three teams clash again at the Reeds Spring Scramble on 1/15/25. Thanks again to the community for all of your support so far this season! We greatly appreciate it!
