As the summer season is getting ramped up, the HOA board would like to remind those using the boat ramp area of a few guidelines regarding parking/ using the boat ramp area.
All parking is first/come; first served. See attached image to show recommended parking for cars (designated by the green “P”) and parking for cars with trailers (designated by the blue boat trailer).
Since the spaces closer to the lake are “longer”, vs. spaces nearer to the top of the boat ramp, we ask everyone to please try and keep those spaces for cars with trailers.
There is NO PARKING on the grass behind adjacent neighboring homes (i.e. private property)
Please see the notations on the concrete pad. Parking is permitted for a vehicle in front of the kayak racks, so long as they do not impede maneuvering a trailer. The remainder of the concrete pad is NO PARKING, as this space is needed for turn-around by boaters that are towing their boats to/ from the lake.
Once the area at the boat ramp is full, there is some parking on streets. However, please be aware of City of Aurora ordinances which prohibit parking:
• Upon the side of the street on which fire hydrants are placed; This means NO PARKING on Nancy Drive, on the boat-ramp side of the street, because there is a fire hydrant at the top of the ramp.
• In front of, or within six feet of any private driveway; This means NO PARKING on the opposite side of Nancy Drive within 6-feet of any driveway.
Please consider car pooling, biking, walking to the lake on the busy weekends. Alternatively, use a vehicle to drop off “stuff” and then return home to pick up remaining boaters, when the boat ramp parking is crowded.
Lastly, please take your trash and recycle home to be disposed of, after a day on the lake. We do not have the capacity to have trash collection and removal for the number of boaters/ kayakers that are using the lake, especially on busy weekends.
