Aurora Elite ended the season with a 9-6 loss against the Wingnuts.

Sawyer was again a wall today behind home plate until he went to the mound and pitched a heck of a game. Keagan turned on the jets and got an amazing triple! The highlight was Bishop’s signature rolling catches! That kid was everywhere with 5 outs this weekend!

Yesterday, Kyson was part of an incredible double play and had great control of the strike zone on the mound. Treffer hit a bomb, and although a fly out, scared the other team enough to intentionally walk him next at bat. 😂 What a compliment!

We can’t thank you enough for all the support the fans, community, and our sponsors gave us this past year. This team went from a “what if” to an amazing ride with some of the best kids we know.

The boys earned a spot in the All State Showcase next week in Omaha, which will bring the best USSSA talent from across Nebraska for a one day tournament. These boys played hard to earn their spots. They will be divided amongst other All Stars, so it should be fun to see how that plays out. 😉

Our first game has been delayed an hour…the schedule could be wonky today due to rain!

Game Changer video will depend on if we are playing in the rain, but our fans at home will be able to keep up with the play by plays.

Aurora fell to USA Prime Omaha 9-8.

Tough loss, but will not take away from THE 2 INCREDIBLE BOMBS by Cooper Hudson! A triple and a double and 4 RBIs! WTG, COOP!

Back on the field tomorrow at 8am for another battle against the Wingnuts.

Aurora Elite is headed to State!

These boys take the field tomorrow at 10am against Waterloo/Valley Wingnuts in Council Bluffs and again at 12:30p against USA Prime Omaha.

Woof this was a tough weekend.

Elite went 0-2-1 this weekend, despite their best efforts. Sometimes the conditions and calls just aren’t in your favor. They continued to battle and smack the heck out of the ball, but in the end it just wasn’t enough to advance.

Moms got in on the coaching action on Saturday! We agreed we prefer armchair coaching to the real deal. 😂 The boys sported a special pink uniform for the occasion. 🥹

Elite is on game hiatus until June 30, when they take the field in Holdrege, and start prepping for state. In the meantime, most of the boys will be playing for the Post 42 Legion Juniors team, with a couple others sprinkled on Ponies or city league. They’ll keep practicing with the plan to make an excellent showing at A State, July 19-21.

Elite took both games last night against Heat in the double header at Mitchell Field.

Tons of smart plays and incredible hits!

Hudson Treffer, our steadfast first baseman, made his pitching debut and nearly gave his momma a heart incident when he struck the first batter out! He’s a natural!

Thanks to the few Post 42 Legion Seniors who called the game and ran the scoreboard for us. They were pros and showed they knew the game inside and out. Great young men!

It’s off to Omaha tomorrow for a fun weekend of pink jerseys, mom coaches, and good baseball.
