Yesterday, Sat. this was full of folks and kiddies, appx. 20 vehicles, parked properly, a couple three motorcycles and PEOPLE...chilling out in Honey Creek. I didn't have my camera with me so no photos, if anyone took any, please post. There were basically two groups, one cooked out, it smelled good. Fire is such a risk right now, a field I miles south of us burned two days ago, our property is dotted all over of burn ashes, it's a wonder one of those didn't set off a fire on us. We need to mow but it is too dry, with fear of starting a fire and hard on the grass, we hard to protect it from wear and tear of autos, even hot engines sear it. On a good note Honey Creek is still running, not really deep but cold, clean and comfortable. I me a friend with her friend and spent a while on the gravel bar. I had to have an injection for Bersitus, sp?, it has really made me sick, painful to walk, meds have troubled my tummy.

But today is a new day and hopefully we will be loaded with water lovers again.

SHENANIGANS, LLC., WAS loaded today! Everyone in the water, cooking out, kids making a dam, makes my heart happy. I counted around 30 vehicles.

This was the last day for the tire swing on the tree over the water, tree is dead and must come down prior to someone getting hurt. We will figure out another way to play.

Water and prune today, took yesterday off, cleaned up my work truck. It is too full of much needed work stuff, so didn't make much head way, trash is out and most tools viewable to enable finding.

Two fairly large limbs have broken due to hedge apples weight, will attempt to pull those down with tug rope. Upkeep never ends. My amazing couple that did most of our maintaining has moved to Cassville so not sure how that will work out.

If there is someone that would like to cut down the brush and small trees on the bluff behind our house....give me a call. I can barter for an event as well as pay. All stumps will have to be treated to kill so they don't grow back.

I am also needing spot spraying to kill weeds in pasture. I have sprayer, needs a couple pieces replaced and it will work fine. We have a four wheeler it can fit on. 417.880.7833

We are booking fall parties of all kinds, two weddings so don't miss out. We would love to have you enjoy our venue. Indoor/outdoor, $50 per hr., three hr. min. Labor Day weekend is still open, we have camping available, $25 per tent/camper, $10.00 for each additional, power, $10. Running water and porta pot and night lighting available. Cooking or bon fires must be contained above ground.

Today, we will be open to swimmers...had a question from a regular visitor...had we gone to weddings only, no way, we have moved some tables and seating close to Honey Creek to be more inviting to guests.

Yesterday, was tied up all day with a fundraiser for a dear friend that lost her home and contents to a fire. We will get that cleaned up prior to noon. All afternoon is open for swimming or whatever fun you want to have.
