Breaking news: Congrats to Club Members Buddy Bell and Austin Challand on taking 1st place in team event at the 2026 Illinois State Tournament with a score of 3700. Also part of the team was Rachel Metcalf, Chris Metcalf and Jason Bault. Great bowling!

Congrats to Champion, Trent Taylor, on taking top spot in Sundays Club Championship!

Congrats to the 5 club bowlers who made Sunday's step ladder finals. Bob Reines, Jim Jamison, Trent Taylor, Jim Taylor and Shawn Beisner. Thirty six bowlers qualified to bowl Sundays event which 34 were able to attend. Top 17 made the first cut and bowled an additional game to determine step ladder round. Bowlers who made the first cut along with step ladder finalists received prize winnings. This tournament was funded 100% by the club. Dollars raised throughout the year from raffles and 50/50s allowed this tournament to occur.

Good morning. Happy Summer to all of you!
Later today, Sunday, 05/31/26, is our Northern Illinois Club Championship.
For the members listed below that qualified to bowl today's event, lane assignments were randomly assigned thru Tournamentbowl.com. I believe we will be starting on lanes 1 - 12.

Check in will begin at 9am, Bowling will begin at 10am

Tournament format will follow the same format as last year:
Qualifying 3 games will be bowled.
Will cut to Top Half. Pins will carry over to the next round.
In the next round, bowlers that made the cut will bowl one more game.
Cut will be Top 5 who will then bowl a Step Ladder Finish to determine the 1-5 placings.

For all of our events, the pattern is determined by the center which in most events is a modified house shot.

There is no entry fee for the tournament. Club is covering lineage and prize payouts.

For the qualifying 3 games that all bowlers will bowl, Brackets and Side Pots will be available like normal club tournaments. Brackets will consist of Reg and Reverse options -
Regular will be Games 1-2-3, Reverse will be 3-2-1
Jim's side pots will be paid out as normal.

Reminder, Club Member golf outing on Saturday, May 30th!! This is open to all club members and member guests! Thanks to those that have already signed up. If you haven't yet and have an interest, please reach out so Jim can reserve more spots if needed!! I'm told It's a small, but great course. No water holes, but there are quite a few trees lining the fairways. Let's welcome summer in by breaking out the clubs.

Tom Dummer, a club member and friend to many in the DeKalb/Rochelle bowling communities passed away yesterday. The club extends our sincere condolences to Tom's family and friends in the coming days.
