Reaching out to all my friends and neighbors in North Carolina, as well as in New York and Florida and some places I may have forgotten.
Hope you are all doing well.
As you probably know by now, we’ve relocated to Aurora Colorado. We’ve been out here over 2 1/2 years and we are enjoying it despite missing all of you.
I didn’t want to let you know that, though it’s taken a while, I am resuming my fundraising for ALS as I did for eight years back in Mooresville and now I’ve included pancreatic cancer.
If you’re not familiar with the story, one of my coaches, Scott Abrams had been afflicted with ALS.
He fought the battle for eight years from age 45 to 53 before coming to this horrible disease for that entire period of time in his honor and for those fighting the fight I did a fundraiser for ALS that included my model Trains.
Six months after Scott passed away his beautiful wife Katie passed away from pancreatic cancer.
In both their honor, I am continuing fundraising for both diseases and yes, my model train layout not complete, will be on display as people come to see it and hopefully, donate money to both these causes.
I’m hoping that some of you will resume your contributions to these causes and in doing so, I get to hear from you as well.
Bless you all and stay healthy.
