Aurora Wrestling Open Mat Days

March 31st to May 14th

Tuesday's and Thursdays from 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Aurora students grades 6 - 12 can participate

All open mats will be at the Robinson Elementary storm shelter.

Coaches CANNOT teach or coach wrestling during open mats. Coaches will be onsite for safety purposes and to maintain discipline. Everyone is encouraged to come and bring some friends that may be interested in trying wrestling in a laid back environment. If you've never wrestled before but want to see what it's like then come to open mat and some of our experienced wrestlers will be happy to teach you.

Congratulations to Seneca and Cassville teams (Seneca 2nd place and Cassville 10th place) at state, Seneca had 3 state champions and Cassville had 1, so 4 of the 14 boys state champions in class 2 came from our conference.

Tonight our Aurora Wrestling girl's team Captains will head to Buffalo for our District Wrestling Tournament. Over the next two days they will wrestle some of the best girls in the state as they battle to qualify for the State Championship Tournament. Both Case Parnell (27-4) and Jasmine Koehler (18-6) have had an exceptional season and we couldn't be more proud of them and their effort! When the dust settles on Saturday we hope to have both girls headed to State. No matter how it goes, both girls have represented Aurora Wrestling and our community with class, dignity, and a determination that sets the tone for the future of our program!
