The NWIA Bulldogs are an 11 man, outdoor, semi professional football organization located in Aurelia This isn't the first go around of Bulldogs in this town.

The Northwest Iowa Bulldogs are an established semi pro 11 man football team in Aurelia IA! The Bulldogs are known for hard hitting, smash mouth football and our team want to bring that to Aurelia! Aurelia IA has always been a football town and now the community, plus tons more in the Northwest Iowa area, will be able to enjoy a family friendly Saturday night football game at the Infamous Valor Fi

The Bulldogs would like to send our condolences to the Family of former Defensive lineman #53 Juan Murillo.

We are heartbroken to let our former fans and players know that Juan passed away Thursday March 9th.

Juan came to us year 1 of the Bulldogs! He was there at the beginning and then again at the end of the Bulldogs after taking a couple seasons off in the middle! You could always count on Juan to be at practice and fill in when needed to give guys a break! He always said “I’m not a starter but the break guy for the starters” haha!

We will always remember the after parties, downtown, at the Tap where Juan was full of jokes, laughs and making everyone lose it when he got started on something funny! He was the life of the room. He was a good man, a great father and a good partner to his girl Alyssa!

Juan was a family man! Every time he would cross paths with former teammates, coaches, fans or owners you could count on a great conversation about family and remembering the good ole days playing ball! Funny how you don’t know you’re in the good ole days until they have passed!

Rest in Eternal Peace #53! We love you!

The Bulldogs would like to send our condolences to the Family of Former Head Coach Ron Morgan.

We are heartbroken to let our former fans and players know that Coach Morgan passed away Monday.

Coach Morgan was a staple in our first two years. When the owners were looking for someone to lead the team, they needed someone to set down the morals, ethics, and expectations of the Bulldogs. They needed to be strong minded and a person with great leadership qualities. We knew Ron was our guy! He helped build the foundation of the Bulldogs, that stuck with the team until 2020, when the organization closed its doors.

One of our fondest memories of Coach was when he got to live out a dream and actually play football again. It was the start to year 2 of the Bulldogs! He suited up for the 2nd half of our preseason game against the Iowa Bandits. It was a cold and very rainy night at the end of April! First play wasn’t so good for Coach though! He got pushed back 5 yards… But once he got his footing back he was a natural! The game came right back to him! He even got in on a tackle or two. We will remember the sparkle in his eye after the game thanking everyone for letting him do that. He was so grateful for the opportunity! Coach Morgan, it was our pleasure!

Ron was a man of God, a son, a father, a husband, a “Pa” (his grandchildren called him) and friend to all he encountered. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially his family.

🌟🌟🌟Hall of Fame🌟🌟🌟

With new ownership comes new traditions! Owner Bryan has decided the Bulldogs have been around long enough to start a Bulldogs Hall of Fame!

The first two inductees were a no brainer since there would have been no Bulldogs without them! Thank you for everything you’ve done and we are proud to have these two guys as the first members of the Bulldog Hall of Fame! Well Deserved! The heart, sweat and tears have paid off!

🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸Our Marine🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Last night the Bulldogs presented our lead chain gang member, George Farrell, with a Marines Corp plaque for Millitary Apperciation Night!

Lance Corporal George Farrell is a Marine that served from 1984-1988. He got injured jumping out of a helio while doing manuevers. That is why he has his chain gang limp, as we call it, today!

He was a gunner. His unit number is 34. He was 3rd battalion 4th Marines Lima company.

George! Thank you for your service and thank you for being a member of the bulldogs staff! You are a member we count on for every home game and even some away games as you have done Chain gang from Aurelia to Quad cities to our Championship game back in 2017! If help was needed, Georgie Boy was there!

🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 Military Night at Valor 🇺🇸 🇺🇸 🇺🇸

Our new Game since being thrown out the UCFL!

Our final Game, Saturday August 22 2020, will be Military Night at Valor Field! We will be battling the Blair Rough Riders from Nebraska! Kickoff is at 7pm!

Admission- Military/Veterans are FREE
50/50 raffle- The Bulldog portion of the 50/50 raffle will be donated to the local VFW!
Free gear- Owner Bryan has some free gear to hand out all night for this game!

❌❌❌Schedule/League UPDATE❌❌❌

We are no longer affiliated with the UCFL. They decided to throw us out of the League.

It’s unfortunate it had to be this way but the Commissioner and our Owner could not make an agreement. We asked to keep our home game we had already invested money into (Military appreciation night) and then travel to the make up away game the 29th of August which is a league bye week for make up games. Instead our home game was taken away, after being set for the past 2 months, and back to back away games were re-schedule with the first being a 5-6 hour drive and the second being 3 hours away. Thats fine for travel and we can do it but that’s a 5 day notice which was unacceptable and unprofessional in our opinion. We could not make it work in that time frame. But neither side would budge. We wanted a fair agreement which we thought we presented but the league would not agree to it. So we are no longer affiliated with the UCFL and stood our ground.

For the betterment of the Bulldogs we are moving on and looking ahead. The Bulldogs have always been an easy team to get along with. As long as you don’t mess with our number of home games, make us lose money, or yank us around, like we just were these past couple days. We are unaterstanding, agreeable, and have a solid reputation amongst the Semi Pro Community.

We highly recommend any team looking for a league to look elsewhere from the UCFL. There are people in the ears of others that sway things in their favor unfortunately. The Leaders are easily pushed to the ways of others and don’t have a backbone to keep the league true and steady. Our player, Shavar, being kicked out of the league was a prime example of giving in to the will of others! It’s unacceptable and the UCFL will not thrive or survive with this type of leadership unfortunately. We wish them the best.

On a positive note- There will be a home game this Saturday Aug 22nd in Aurelia at 7pm! There will be a post to come!

Due to a recent Positive Covid case on our Opponents team, We will not be traveling to KC this Saturday for our match up against the Midwest Titans.

We are sorry for the inconvenience but as you all know, our players Saftey has to be priority #1!

🚒🔥🏈Fire dept donation!🏈🔥🚒

Fans! Thank you so much with helping us get a donation to the Aurelia Fire Dept!

Between half the gates, the bulldogs share of the 50/50 drawling, and a donation from V and V trucking LLC. We presented $500 to these volunteers who lay their lives on the line for this community!

Thanks for all you do guys! You’re Awesome!
