Let’s meet another team member today!

Maximus Schultz…aka Max!

Max is an 8th grader at Sts. Peter and Paul and the son of Scott and Jamie Schultz. He’s been with the team for 2 years! He’s seen a ton of growth since last season and has landed some impressive scores already this year! He was only able to shoot in AIM Trapshooting events with us last year but this year he’s all in for AIM and Kentucky SCTP!

Last year, he nailed his 25 straight and he’s inching closer to the 50 straight every time he shoots this year. His intermediate advanced squad has won two shoots already and they are only getting better as the season goes on! Looking forward to the state and nationals coming up in the next few months!

Congrats to Wyatt Bechdolt and Levi Bowling on good shooting this weekend!

Wyatt had a great day at Wright-Patterson, singles champ, Handicap champ,Doubles champion at the champion of champions shoot Saturday.

Levi shot in the Kenton Game and Fish Friday Night Calcutta and ended up in 4th bringing home some $$

Big news!!! Our sponsors have really stepped up this year and we now have a 2nd trap house for expanded practices AND just ordered a wireless voice release system! Our team members will be able to train on both traditional wired trap speakers and the newer wireless system.

Let’s meet another team member! Wyatt Bechdolt!

Wyatt is the son of Matt and Hope Bechdolt of Sardinia, OH and has been with the team for 3 years. He’s an 8th grader and a member of our SCTP Intermediate Advanced Squad this year along with our AIM Trapshooting Sub Jr squad. He was the sub jr runnerup for the AIM Online Zone at the 19-19.5 yd event.

Wyatt has really seen a ton of growth over the last year and is off to a great start! He recently placed 2nd at the Middletown SCTP Mid American Youth Championship in Intermediate advanced and was part of the 1st place team! He went on to compete at the Middletown Mid American Shoot as a sub junior and won the singles event on Friday and took runner up in the championship on Saturday.

Want to help out the BEST group of young people I know? You can now donate through the charity PayPal account to Friends of Target Ridge! We just built our 2nd trap house because the team has grown and are looking to get wireless speakers! This means we can host Calcutta events, more events for 4-H, and enables our team members to have practice on both wired and wireless trap release systems!

Donors will be recognized on social media and on team banner displayed at events!

Today let's meet Hunter Nelson!! Hunter is the son of John and Brandy Nelson and an 8th grader at Campbell County Middle School. He's been with the team for 2 seasons and we are so glad he joined us last year for his first full season. He's got that 25 straight and now he's working toward 50 which is just around the corner!

He's seen a ton of growth since he started with us and is consistently shooting well.

As a member of the intermediate advanced squad, their group is a powerhouse that won the Middletown SCTP Mid-American Youth Championship in their team category a few weeks back.

There's big opportunities on the horizon for Hunter. We sure love having him on the team!!

Today we feature another team member for meet the team Monday!!

Levi Bowling has been a member of the team since 2021. Levi is the son of Lance and Ella Bowling of Brooksville and a freshman at Robertson County High School.

Levi has had a great start to the season with winning doubles at the KY SCTP Warm Up in Berea with a 96/100 and runner up in singles with a 99/100!

Levi was named to the 2026 AIM Trapshooting AIM All Star Team and named captain of the KY State Sub Junior Team for 2026. He was also named to the Kentucky SCTP All State Team in 2025.

His season averages for 2026 are:
Singles 97.67%
Handicaps: 95%
Doubles: 93%

He was on fire this weekend in registered targets at the home range and we can’t wait to see what a season he has this year!

Next up on our series of meet the team…Kane Colvin.

Kane is a 7th grader at Bracken County Middle School and the son of Keith and Crystal Colvin of Brooksville, KY.

He’s in his 2nd year with the team and we love the positive attitude he brings every single time he’s on the range! With his 25 straight under his belt at Middletown last year, he’s been inching closer to the 50 straight!

He is a member of our intermediate advanced squad of rockstars that won the Mid America Youth Championship at Middletown Sportsman’s club a few weeks ago.

Looking forward to a great season for Kane!
