# # # THE Atlas CUP PRELIM — THURSDAY ONLY

We’ve been waiting to show you this one.

For the **2026 Atlas Cup Prelim**, we’re taking shooters into a part of the Sportsman’s Training Center property that has **never been used before**—and quite frankly, we’re a little sad that we only get to use it for the Prelim.

This is **not your typical Kansas terrain.**

Forget the picture of endless flat prairie. This part of the property changes dramatically, with , elevation changes, valleys, draws, timber, and natural cliff used for towers** that create opportunities for target presentations we simply can’t throw anywhere else on the grounds.

The terrain itself becomes part of the target.

Expect birds that appear from above and climb out of the trees. Targets will cross open draws with nothing but distance and sky behind them. Others will use the cliff edges and elevation to play tricks on your eyes—giving you presentations where **speed, angle, distance, and background can change in an instant.**

You may be standing flat on a field on one station, then find yourself tucked into the terrain looking up at a target coming off the edge above you on the next.

We wanted the Prelim to be more than just the first 100 targets of the Atlas Cup. We wanted it to feel like its **own event and its own experience**—a course that takes advantage of a very unusual piece of Kansas ground and gives our target setters a completely different canvas to work with.

The **Prelim opens at NOON Thursday**,

Also open Thursday will be the **Super Sport**, **50-Bird Sub-Gauge events**

If you’re coming to the Atlas Cup and were thinking about skipping Thursday, you might want to rethink that.

**This course exists for ONE DAY.**

🚨 ATLAS CUP WEEK IS HERE! 🚨

We’re officially in the home stretch, and it’s time to start getting the range ready for The 2026 Atlas Cup! 💥🟠

Here’s what you need to know about range access over the next week:

🟢 Saturday, Sept. 5 — OPEN to the public
Normal hours

🟢 Sunday, Sept. 6 — OPEN to the public
Normal hours

🟡 Monday, Sept. 7 — MEMBERS ONLY
We will be down to ONE COURSE as we begin preparing for the Cup.

🔴 Tuesday, Sept. 8 — CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC

🔴 Wednesday, Sept. 9 — CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC

Tuesday and Wednesday we’ll have the range completely shut down while we finish setting targets, preparing courses, and getting everything ready for a BIG four days!
