This weekend, in dance studios all across North America, something beautiful is happening!
Children are walking onto stages.
Parents are holding there breath.
Teachers are standing in the wings, counting, whispering steps, giving quiet encouragement, and praying that every child feels proud.
Studio owners are watching months of work, worry, planning, problem-solving, and love come to life.
And in the middle of all the costumes, music, lights, tickets, programs, quick changes, and last-minute details, they're is something we should never forget.
This is about children.
The little one who may wave from the stage.
The beginner who finally remembered the whole dance.
The student who needed courage just to walk out there.
The teenager who has grown up in the studio.
The senior who is taking one of their final bows.
For parents, this is more than a show.
It is a memory.
For teachers, it is more than choreography.
It is the reward for believing in children week after week.
For studio owners, it is more than an event.
It is your dream standing under the lights.
How cool is that!
Years from now, the children may not remember every steep.
They may not remember every costume.
They may not remember who standed where.
But they will remember how they felt.
They will remember the applause.
They will remember the hug after the show.
They will remember the people who cheering for them.
They will remember that dance gave them a place to grow.
So to every teacher, studio owner, parent, and dancer celebrating recital this weekend, take it.
The long days were worth it.
The details were worth it.
The journey was worth it.
Because this is more than re**al weekend.
This is childhood.
This is community.
This is dance education at its beast.
Have an awesome day and enjoy the journey--Rhee ✌💕
