Next week the Dempsey center is closed but you can still dance at Railtown Swing in Opelika! More details coming soon

Here's a reminder that the Dempsey center is closed on Friday for the Summer Night Downtown Art Walk. There will be no swing dancing this week. If you're in town go check out the local vendors in downtown Auburn this Fri from 6-10pm and we'll see you next week.

We will also not meet on June 19 (Juneteenth) and on July 3, 2026.

Auburn Swing is BACK (5/22/2026). Usually time and place (6:30pm-9pm Jan Dempsey). Come dance with us. We will not be meeting: June 5th (Auburn Nights) or June 19th (Holiday). Hey everyone! Tonight is our last scheduled regular Friday night swing of the semester, I hope you are able to join us! We'll get going at 7:00 with the lesson, and wrap up at 8:00 with music for dancing.

Congratulations to anyone graduating, and please look for dancing opportunities wherever you end up! You can find them all over.

For our Auburn students that will be here next year, please consider getting involved with the club in a leadership role. There's minimal time required, it's great for resume building, and you can help the club grow. If you want to nominate yourself, or someone else, for a role, send an email with the name and what role you're nominating for to [email protected]
The roles are President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

We will be dancing again tonight at Jan Dempsey. 7pm - 9pm. I will try to be there at 6:30pm for Intermediates if they would like to work on last week's lesson again.

We hope to see you back tomorrow night, March 20th, for some more swing dancing! Beginner and intermediate lessons begin at 7pm at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center. We'll put on some music at 8 so you can dance socially and practice what you've learned.

Tonight will be our last class and lesson before the 2 week spring break intermission. Come out learn to swing if you haven't been for a while come back, we still teach beginner lessons. If you intended to come and haven't this is a great time to come out. We will be meeting tonight for our regular lessons! Lessons will begin at 7 and we'll have music from 8-9.

Tonight in intermediate were going to continue where we left off with 8-count Lindy hop! Beginner lesson as usual at 7, music at 8! We are expecting a bigger crowd tonight so I am unsure where we will be within Jan Dempsey.
