This weekend is our Caesar Guerini Demo Days!! Caesar Guerini themselves will be out both Saturday and Sunday with demo guns to test out.

There will be Demos of Caesars, Fabarms, and Syrens!

Saturday with be open for any demoing and some ATA marathon targets if you need to get any registered birds in before the grand!

Sunday will be our 300 bird ATA shoot with $1,000 added money provided by Caesar Guerini!

Both days will start open at 8. Make sure to swing by and check it out. Both Riley & Jeff shoot Caesar Summits for competition.

Jeff and Riley are finally on their way back home after a long and busy week. Sadly the nerves got the best out of Jeff on his first ever shootoff and after missing the first two birds, he ended up losing by 2.

Riley was able to snag one more trophy this week, bringing home a total of three, after winning a carry over in Thursday’s singles for AA after a 99 and 125 straight in Saturday’s 200. He also earned himself one more punch with a 96 putting him on the 26.5 yard line. Just one more to make it to the back fence.

This was Riley’s best overall week of shooting a big event with a score of 1054/1100 and a 496/500 in singles. Hopefully he keeps it up with the Grand fast approaching.

Don’t forget next on the schedule is the Caesar Guerini Demos Days this coming weekend July 18 & 19. Demo Caesars both days!! Saturday is marathon targets and Sunday is a $1,000 300 bird ATA registered shoot sponsored by Caesar Guerini.

A big thanks to a wonderful Emma Kaufman for running the league last night! Report says she enjoyed it so much she will be back every Wednesday to help!!

Wednesday evening ended up with an unexpected lighting storm at the end of the singles event. Jeff’s 92 in handicap ended up getting him in a shootoff for yardage group winner!!!! Not only that but the trophy is shamrock leather products. Clearly he was very nervous while shooting his singles thinking about it.

Riley - 96. Jeff - 81

The storm continued through the evening and shootoffs got pushed back till after Thursdays events, which consists of just 100 singles and handicap targets!

Make sure to wish him luck if you talk to him today!

Jeff and Riley and really starting to shoot better at these big events! Tuesday had nearly 300 shooters in each event for prelimary day. A lot of the big shooters are out here!

Today had a little bit of rain and hopefully didn’t ruin our chalkboard. Lots of Illinois friends arrived and the targets are perfect!
Riley shot a 96 in doubles and 94 in handicap.
Jeff shot a 81 in doubles and a 92 in handicap (24,24,20,24) very close to an amazing score!

We still have 100 singles left and then tomorrow will be just singles and handicap.

Everyone thank Emma Kaufman tonight for being at the Gun Club to help run league while Jeff and Riley are gone!

Today marks the start of the Wisconsin State Shoot! Riley and Jeff got in yesterday and are going to be vendors for Ranger and Pilla glasses. Jim Covert from the club also made it up to shoot this week!

Tuesday consists of all three events. Riley was the first squad out for singles and ran 100 straight. Jeff and Jim are currently shooting their singles event.

The grounds are beautiful up here with a great backdrop! Hopefully the weather stays as well as it is today!

Don’t forget that the Summer League starts tonight!! Wednesday nights for 10 weeks. If you are interested and not on a team yet please let us know! We are able to fit you in.

The Spring results are in with Light Loads taking first and $650!!
Pull…Miss…Repeat… took 2nd. Good Fellas 3rd

Josh Waggener secured the Top Average again with a 46.5/50.

The weekend ended up going very well for some friends of the club to end the Illinois State Shoot at Brittany Shooting Park! Lots of trophies were brought home by everyone

Friday was class Doubles and Handicaps.
Elliot Turpin shot a 93 in doubles and won RU Sub Junior!
Riley shot a 96 and got RU AA class.
Both Elliot and Riley went on to shot a 97 in handicaps, earning a full yard punch, and having to shoot off for overall 2nd and 3rd place. Riley ended up winning the shoot off for RU after losing multiple derby shoot offs this Spring to Elliot.

Saturday was the 200 singles and with perfect weather brought personal bests!
Elliot ended up shooting a 198 and Riley a 196 with no prizes.
League shooters Ryan Roth shot a 196 and won Champion C Class and Brian Byers shot a 195 and tied for high D class. After shoot offs he ended up with D Class RU. They both earned their first trophies and hope to get more in the future.

The last day brought some heavy rain and lightning delays.
Riley shot a 98 in doubles, shooting his personal best and winning Champion RU. Elliot a 94 winning Champion Sub Junior.
Elliot then went ahead and shot another 97 in handicaps for the final event getting Sub Junior runner up and another full yard punch!

With Elliot’s big weekend, he took home the HAA Sub Junior trophy with a 389/400. Riley also won the HAA for AAA Class after a close shoot off.

After the full week, Riley ended up with a 1145/1200 which won him the AAA HOA Championship and bringing home a total of 6 trophies.

With the Illinois State Shoot wrapped up, we look forward to starting our Summer league this Wednesday, our next ATA shoot July 18th-19th, and planning our next trip to another major shoot to snag some more trophies.
